Transforming legacy into innovation - From leading flour milling facility to pioneering real estate development in New Delhi's knowledge-based industrial hub.
Explore Our ProjectFounded in 1973 by Mr. Ram Niwas Gupta and Mr. Rattan Kumar Gupta as directors, Modern Flour Mills Private Limited established itself as a leading wheat flour roller milling facility in the Lawrence Road Industrial Area, New Delhi. Initially equipped with a production capacity of approximately 120 Tons Per Day (TPD), the company specialized in manufacturing wheat derivative products such as maida (refined flour), mill atta (whole wheat flour), sooji (semolina), rawa, dalia (broken wheat), and bran.
These products garnered the trust of major institutional customers like Britannia Industries, Parle, Harvest, English Oven, Tops, and Nestle, marking the company's robust entrance into the food manufacturing industry.
Modern Flour Mills made its mark not only domestically but also internationally, exporting to countries such as the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Netherlands, UAE, and more.
The mid-1990s marked a significant evolution in the company's leadership, with Mr. Om Prakash Gupta joining as a director, further strengthening the company's management team. This period also saw the installation of a stone milling plant with a 100 TPD capacity, expanding the company's manufacturing capabilities.
In 2020, following the demise of Mr. Rattan Kumar Gupta, Mr. Sanjay Khurana and Mr. Satyen Prakash joined the Company as directors, heralding a new era of growth for the company. This new leadership trio brought with them a vision to not only continue the legacy of Modern Flour Mills Private Limited but also to expand its horizons into new and promising ventures.
From 1998 to 2015, engaged in contract manufacturing for multinational corporations including Hindustan Unilever (Kissan Annapurna) and General Mills (Pillsbury).
Successfully manufactured products under proprietary brands - India Gate, Kutab Minar, and Sarvashree.
Served large retail houses like Reliance Fresh, Aditya Birla Group (More), Spencer's, and Future Group.
In 2004, the company innovated by installing a facility dedicated to manufacturing Robinson's patent barley powder for Reckitt Benckiser. The mid-2000s further witnessed the establishment of a custom processing and retail packaging facility to serve large retail houses, broadening its spectrum of services in the food industry.
The last decade saw shrinking margins and the financial infeasibility of maintaining its food processing operations in Delhi, leading to a strategic pivot towards redeveloping its land for knowledge-based industries like IT/ITes, in response to regulatory amendments by MoHUA in October 2020.
With a strategic focus on leveraging the high real estate value of its centrally located plant facility, the company embarked on a redevelopment project, capitalizing on the opportunities presented by the regulatory amendments made by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in October 2020.
All necessary approvals for the redevelopment of the plot have been obtained, showcasing commitment to compliance and regulatory standards.
Engaged some of the industry's top contractors and consultants to ensure flawless execution of the development project.
The project aspires to achieve a LEED Platinum rating, reflecting commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The new real estate project is envisioned to be best in class and the first of its kind in this part of the city, setting a new benchmark for development projects in the area with the most modern facilities.
